The name
Korgard KOR-gard noun
- A royal court. The word joins court, from Latin cohors, an enclosed yard, with Old Norse garðr, a fenced yard. Garðr is the -gard in Asgard and Midgard. Both words go back to one Indo-European root that means to enclose.
